Some of Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance do we need to place orders?

The more notice the better, however we typically require a minimum of one week’s notice for orders.  There are times where we can accommodate you in less than a week depending on our work load but you may incur a rush fee of up to $50.00.  Please email or call and we can let you know if we can accommodate you.

Do I need to refrigerate your cakes upon pick up?

For butter cream cakes, yes, we recommend that you refrigerate until at least 2 hours prior to the party.  Fondant cakes, we do not recommend refrigeration as it can cause the fondant to sweat or even worse bubble up.

Do you make your cakes same day?

Due to our high volume, we do not bake cakes same day however we’ve been doing this for over 10 years and we work on a very tight baking schedule – as close to your pick up time as possible to ensure the freshest product – our cakes are NEVER frozen.

Is your baking facility 100% gluten free/100% egg free/100% dairy free, etc?

No, we do have all purpose flour, eggs, dairy , nuts within our facility but we go to great lengths to keep everything separate.  We also use different measuring cups, etc for our dietary restrictive cakes.  Also, please note, that we utilize a high power sanitizing commercial dishwasher as well to ensure that each pan/bowl/spoon is sanitized. However, we cannot guarantee any traces as we are not 100% certified gluten free/dairy free/egg free.

Are you kosher?

No we are not kosher.

What is your pricing?

Pricing carries a lot of factors – dietary restriction, design, detail, flavor, filling, frosting, fondant, flower work, fresh floral, etc.  We cater to so many different types of allergies/dietary restrictions, it’s best if we go over pricing based specifically on your order and needs.

Wedding cakes are priced per serving*, very competitively within the Houston market:

  • Regular wedding cake (no dietary restrictions) butter cream  begin at $4.00/slice and go up from there; Fondant starts at $6.00/slice and goes up from there
  • Gluten Free – butter cream starts at $4.75/slice and up; fondant $6.75/slice and up
  • Vegan – vegan butter cream starts at $5.25/slice and up; fondant $7.25/slice and up

*These prices do not include toppers, floral or delivery/set up to your venue

What days are you open? Hours of operation?

We are open for business Tuesday through Saturday – 10am-5pm and Sundays by appointment only – we are closed on Mondays.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver Monday-Friday for all orders – fee based on location but runs anywhere from $10-$40.

How does wedding cake delivery work?

I take great pride with each of my bride’s – we will determine load in time at tasting & design session and cost for delivery/setup of your wedding cake based on size of cake, location of event and set up necessary.

Do you offer tastings?

We do!  Tastings can be done on Tuesdays’ and Wednesdays before 6 PM – must be scheduled in advance, as we book up for wedding season early.  We ask that tasting is for no more than 2 persons and it lasts about an hour.  We do not do tastings for birthdays or other events at this time, just for our brides.

Is there a cost to your tasting?

We charge between $35-$45 depending on dietary restriction.
